IFS has introduced IFS Zero, an agentic emissions operating system designed to help asset-intensive industries measure, disclose and optimize Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 carbon emissions through a unified digital platform.
The new platform is integrated with the company’s IFS Sustainability Management module, allowing organizations to manage emissions data alongside broader operational and sustainability processes.
According to IFS, the platform enables companies to monitor greenhouse gas emissions across direct operations, purchased energy consumption and value-chain activities, supporting both regulatory reporting and emissions management initiatives.
Scope 1 emissions refer to direct greenhouse gas emissions generated by an organization’s own operations. Scope 2 covers indirect emissions associated with purchased electricity, heating and cooling, while Scope 3 includes emissions generated throughout the broader value chain, such as suppliers, logistics, business travel and product use.
The launch reflects growing demand for enterprise software that supports environmental reporting as governments and regulators introduce more comprehensive climate disclosure requirements across global markets.
IFS Zero is designed for asset-intensive industries, including sectors such as manufacturing, energy, utilities, construction and industrial services, where monitoring operational emissions has become an increasingly important component of business and regulatory compliance.
The introduction of the platform also highlights the expanding role of artificial intelligence in enterprise sustainability management, as software providers continue integrating AI-driven capabilities into tools for environmental reporting, operational analysis and emissions optimization.
