Together AI Signs $240 Million IBM Deal to Build Nvidia-Powered AI Cluster

Together AI has signed a $240 million multi-year agreement with IBM to build a large-scale artificial intelligence computing cluster on IBM Cloud using Nvidia systems.

The agreement expands the infrastructure available to Together AI as demand for computing capacity to train, fine-tune and deploy artificial intelligence models continues to increase.

Under the deal, the AI cluster will operate on IBM Cloud infrastructure and use Nvidia accelerated computing systems, bringing together IBM’s cloud capabilities with Nvidia’s hardware ecosystem.

For Together AI, the additional computing capacity is expected to support its platform for developing and running generative AI models and applications at scale.

The $240 million commitment also illustrates the growing financial requirements associated with AI infrastructure. Access to advanced GPUs, networking, power and data-center capacity has become a central component of the expansion strategies of AI developers and cloud providers.

The agreement adds to a broader wave of investment in specialized AI computing infrastructure as technology companies seek greater access to high-performance systems capable of supporting increasingly complex models and workloads.
