Stephen J. Cloobeck, Democratic candidate for California Governor, has raised $3.4 million since announcing his candidacy on November 5, 2024, demonstrating strong support for his platform of rebuilding the California Dream through economic and affordability reforms.

The campaign’s fundraising success during the traditionally quiet holiday season signals growing momentum for Cloobeck’s message ahead of the June 2026 primary election.

“Californians are demanding new leadership, and they’re backing that demand with their support,” said Cloobeck. “While career politicians have failed to address our state’s challenges, particularly evident in the recent wildfire disasters, we’re offering solutions to make California affordable, livable, and workable™ for everyone.”

Notably, the campaign has attracted significant grassroots support, with many contributions coming from small-dollar donors giving under $100. “I’m putting my dollars on someone I feel can get the job done and that is looking at what’s important to me as a citizen of California,” said $35 donor Freda Payne from Encino, California. “I find what he has to say inspiring, encouraging, and uplifting. I need to know that there will be changes, and that someone like Stephen is governing the right way, for us, for a change.”

During the recent Southern California wildfires, Cloobeck demonstrated his commitment to community service by suspending campaign activities to support relief efforts. As a five-year leader with the Los Angeles Dream Center, he provided both volunteer time and financial assistance to aid rehabilitation efforts. Cloobeck also supports organizations in Altadena, helping the working families who have lost homes and jobs in the fires.

Building on his campaign momentum, Cloobeck is releasing his second book, “FACING HARD TRUTHS: How Americans Can Get Real, Pull Together, and Turn Our Country Around.” The book draws from his 40+ years of business experience to outline practical solutions for California’s challenges.
