Oracle unveiled a new set of artificial intelligence capabilities for the hospitality industry on Tuesday, introducing OPERA Cloud Assistant, an AI-powered solution designed to automate hotel operations, improve revenue management, and streamline guest services.
The new features are integrated directly into Oracle’s OPERA Cloud hospitality platform and aim to help hotels reduce operational complexity while enhancing decision-making across multiple functions.
According to Oracle, the technology can automate guest room assignments, generate AI-assisted rate descriptions to improve consistency and accuracy, and support revenue optimization efforts. The company said the tools are intended to help hotel staff operate more efficiently while responding faster to changing guest preferences and market conditions.
The launch reflects a broader trend across the hospitality sector, where hotels are increasingly adopting artificial intelligence to automate routine tasks, improve customer experiences, and identify new revenue opportunities.
“Some of the most impactful innovations are those helping hoteliers make better decisions, reduce operational complexity, generate more revenue through upsells, and respond more effectively to ever-changing guest needs,” said Scott Strickland, Chief Commercial Officer at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
Wyndham, one of the world’s largest hotel franchisors, currently operates more than 2,100 properties on Oracle’s OPERA Cloud platform, underscoring the software’s significant presence across the global hospitality industry.
The announcement comes as technology providers continue expanding AI applications beyond customer-facing services and into core operational functions, including pricing, reservations, workforce management, and revenue optimization.
As hotels face ongoing labor shortages and rising guest expectations, industry operators are increasingly turning to automation and data-driven tools to improve efficiency while maintaining service quality.
