Prepared for the three-night cruise are party after party, from a live performance in Utopia by the “Timeless” singer while the ship is on Royal Caribbean’s award-winning private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas, to the unique naming party with Utopia’s newly elected godmother.
It will all take place just a few days before the official debut of the new vacation on July 19 in Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida.
“It’s an incredible honor to join the Royal Caribbean family as godmother of Utopia of the Seas and set the tone for the holidays to come,” said Meghan Trainor. “The best part is that we get to bring that weekend energy to the stage with my family and my fans. As the kick-off point of the three-night celebration, Royal Caribbean and Trainor will officially name Utopia in the company of special guests, members of the ship’s crew, media, partners and 52 fans, one for each weekend of the year and their guests.
Trainor, as godmother, will join a long maritime tradition when she gives custody of the ultimate short getaway, to her crew and to the millions of people who will enjoy Utopia for years to come. The party will keep going with Trainor’s exclusive show at the iconic outdoor AquaTheater, and fans will be able to slip behind the velvet curtain to meet the star in person.
