LG Innotek Reports Strong Quarterly Growth as Semiconductor Business Expands

LG Innotek reported a sharp increase in quarterly profitability, supported by strong demand for camera modules and semiconductor substrates, while continuing to expand its semiconductor manufacturing footprint.

In the first quarter, the company reported operating profit of 295.3 billion won, up 136% from a year earlier, driven primarily by growth in its camera module and semiconductor substrate businesses.

For the fourth quarter, operating profit rose 31% year over year to 324.7 billion won, while fourth-quarter revenue increased 14.8% to 7.61 trillion won.

Despite the stronger quarterly performance, full-year operating profit declined 5.8% to 665 billion won, reflecting the impact of one-time costs. Annual revenue reached 21.9 trillion won, representing a 3.3% increase compared with the previous year.

The company’s package solutions business continued to deliver strong results. Operating profit for the segment increased from 70.8 billion won to 128.9 billion won over the past year, while revenue rose approximately 18%, reaching about US$1.11 billion in 2025 from roughly US$940 million in 2024.

LG Innotek also continued expanding its semiconductor manufacturing capacity through a 1 trillion won investment in a new production facility in Hai Phong, Vietnam. The expansion is intended to strengthen production of semiconductor substrates as demand for advanced packaging technologies continues to grow.

The company also increased its share of the RF-SiP (Radio Frequency System-in-Package) substrate market to approximately 65% in 2025 and expects that figure to reach around 80% in 2026.

The results reflect continued demand for high-performance semiconductor components used in smartphones, consumer electronics and communications equipment, while LG Innotek continues investing in manufacturing capacity and advanced packaging technologies to support long-term growth.
