The International Olympic Committee (IOC) today announced a World Olympic Partnership with global technology company TCL until 2032. TCL will officially be the Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner in the Home Audiovisual Equipment and Home Appliances category.
TCL’s products will power new experiences for fans and athletes, from digital displays at the Olympic and Paralympic Games to home appliances in the Olympic Village. Through this new partnership, the organisations will also work together to bring the magic of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to billions of fans around the world through innovative marketing campaigns.
TCL will play an important role as the IOC advances its AI Olympic Agenda, including supporting the experiences (both in-person and from home) of fans and athletes. TCL will also lend its support to the “Athlete Moments” initiative at the Olympic Games, allowing athletes to connect with loved ones around the world, immediately after their competition.
As a result of the agreement, the IOC will redistribute the proceeds received to provide financial support to sports organizations around the world, including each National Olympic Committee and its athletes, as well as the Organizing Committees for the Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games until 2032.
At an announcement ceremony held in Beijing, China, at the iconic “Water Cube” (Beijing 2008 Games) / “Ice Cube” (Beijing 2022 Games) venue, IOC President Thomas Bach said: “The IOC is excited to announce its new partnership with TCL, a global leader in the television and home goods industries. TCL has a long history of supporting sport around the world, and is now taking that ambition to inspire greatness to new heights, with the Olympic Games being the most important and inspirational global sporting stage.”
