Erika Frantzve Kirk Delivers First Emotional Remarks Following the Assassination of Conservative Activist Charlie Kirk

Erika Frantzve Kirk, widow of conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, delivered her first public remarks on Friday (12), just days after her husband was assassinated during a university event in Utah.

Visibly emotional, dressed in an emerald green blouse, white blazer, and silver cross, Erika spoke for approximately 16 minutes from her husband’s podcast studio in Arizona, where he had recorded daily. Fighting back tears, she thanked first responders who tried to save Charlie’s life and law enforcement officers who apprehended the suspect.

“My husband laid down his life for me, for our nation, and for our children. Now and for all eternity, he will stand at his Savior’s side wearing the glorious crown of a martyr,” Erika said, speaking from a podium adorned with Charlie’s image and the words: “May Charlie be received into the merciful arms of Jesus, our loving Savior.”

Determined, Erika vowed to uphold and continue her husband’s mission, declaring that those responsible for the assassination “have no idea what they have unleashed.”

“They killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith, and God’s merciful love. But if they thought his mission was powerful before, they have no idea what they have set into motion across this country and around the world. The cries of this widow will echo like a battle cry. The movement my husband built will not die. I refuse to let that happen.”

Charlie’s body was transported from Utah to Phoenix aboard Air Force Two, accompanied by U.S. Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha. Erika publicly thanked the couple for their love, support, and long-standing friendship with her husband.

The President Donald Trump, who first announced Kirk’s death, confirmed he intends to attend the funeral in Arizona and stated that Charlie will be posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.

Charlie Kirk was 31 years old. He married Erika, former Miss Arizona, in 2021, and together they had two young children – a three-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son.

Funeral details have not yet been announced.
