Anthropic Raises $30 Billion in Series G Round, Reaches $380 Billion Valuation

Anthropic announced it has raised $30 billion in its Series G funding round, reaching a $380 billion post-money valuation. The financing, disclosed on Thursday, was co-led by investors including D. E. Shaw Ventures, ICONIQ, and MGX. The round also included portions of previously announced investments from Microsoft and Nvidia.

The raise stands as the second-largest private technology funding round in history, trailing only the $40 billion round completed by OpenAI.

Accelerated Growth

Anthropic reported that its annualized run-rate revenue has reached $14 billion, reflecting rapid adoption of its artificial intelligence models by enterprises and developers.

One of the primary drivers of this growth is Claude Code, its AI-powered coding tool, which has already surpassed $2.5 billion in revenue.

Consolidation in the AI Market

The new funding round further strengthens Anthropic’s position as one of the leading global players in the generative AI sector, competing directly with major industry names. The substantial capital injection also signals strong institutional investor confidence in the company’s ability to scale and monetize its technology.

Financial analysts cited by major outlets note that rising valuations reflect both the race for technological leadership and the growing expectation that AI solutions will become core infrastructure for companies across industries.

With the new capital, Anthropic is expected to accelerate investments in research, computational infrastructure, and international expansion, reinforcing its strategic position in an increasingly competitive market.
