LG Electronics Accelerates AI Robotics Development Through Nvidia Partnership

LG Electronics is expanding its artificial intelligence capabilities through a recently announced partnership with NVIDIA, using the collaboration to accelerate the development of robotics technologies and AI-powered industrial automation.

As part of the initiative, LG will leverage Nvidia’s AI computing platform to advance its robotics data factory and Robot Foundation Model, which are designed to improve the ability of robots to perceive, reason, and perform tasks across a variety of environments.

The collaboration includes the use of NVIDIA Isaac Sim, a simulation platform that enables developers to create virtual environments for training and testing robots before physical deployment. LG will also utilize NVIDIA GR00T, Nvidia’s foundation model for humanoid and general-purpose robotics, to support robot reasoning, learning, and decision-making capabilities.

By combining simulation technologies with synthetic data generation, LG aims to reduce development time while improving the performance of robotic systems across manufacturing and other industrial applications. Virtual testing environments allow engineers to train AI models at scale without relying exclusively on real-world data collection.
